DME Relay issues or what this time???

Hello again everybody, well i was having starting issues in the passed and i replace the speed and ref sensors and went through hell with that. And car still wasn't starting then i tried a DME relay jumper and car started right up so i figured the relay was bad because with the relay in i didn't get tach bounce or anything the car just cranked. So today i swung by Vertex Auto and picked up a new DME relay came home popped it in and nothing then i tried the jumpers again and car started right up, so whats up with that???? either something else is bad or the DME relay i got isn't working.:mad::mad:

I can think of two possibilities, there may be others. First, it is definitely possible to get a bad relay "out of the box". You can test it by putting 12v across pins 85 & 86 and checking for continuity between pins 30 & 87, then putting 12v across pins 85b & 87 and checking for continuity between pins 30 & 87b. Second, you may have pushed the plug side connectors in and out of reach with your jumper.
If the relay tests good you probably should take a look at the underside if the fuse/relay board, you'll have to pull it out to do this.
How did you get your reference sensors out? I can get my speed reference sensor to move back and forth, but just can't pull it out!

You have a long journey ahead of you it took me over a week a couple of bruised fingers and tons of cursing to get those things out, i ended up breaking the bracket to pull it out because the sensors were seized inside the bracket, so i ended up replacing the bracket here's a link to the thread check it out http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=457162&highlight=speed+reference+ sensors well i'm going to test the relay tomorrow i hope it's the relay thats faulty and not something else.
