Cam Tower Rear Cork Gasket
Sometimes my timing leaves a lot to be desired. Last week I placed an order with Pelican for a lot of maintenance parts. I got it yesterday. Then, while I was in the garage today, I noticed that my rear cam tower gasket is weeping. Now, it's not a hard job if you have the part. But, I don't.
I don't really want to order a $0.75 gasket from Pelican and have to pay $7.75 in shipping. Has anyone had luck getting these at your local auto parts store? (I know, I can ask them myself, but they are all closed now.) Thanks ![]() |

The graphite one from Wrightwood Racing will do a better job and its higher price will justify both the shipping cost and the repair.

I run no gasket on the rear cover and just use yamabond sealant. Any sealant meant for a metal to metal seal should work.

You can also buy gasket material from most auto parts store and just make one.
