What Brake fluid have you used on your 944 street car? What is your favorite brand for street use?

How often do you flush your fluid to retain the high dry rating of the ATE fluid?

Some folks flush after each DE event, but they are FAR better and faster drivers than I am. I do it 2 times a year right now. The car is not much a daily as it is on jack stands more than it is on the road, but I assume it takes a bit of work to sort the car out.

I used to use ATE blue. Recently both the 944 and Boxster got Motul RBF600. Great stuff, but 2-3x more expensive than the super blue.

The reservoir says USE ONLY DOT4. So I used the brand of DOT 4 that I could get locally.

I ended up going with Valvoline Synthetic DOT3 & 4 fluid, since it was available locally and met both DOT3&4.

http://www.valvoline.com/products/consumer-products/brake-fluids/dot-3-4-brake-fluid/28

Thank you for all your input, I may try ATE super blue next time.

I use ATE Blue in both of my cars and Castrol LMXWhatever in my wife's car. I put in fresh fluid prior to track days or change the fluid every other year, whichever comes first.

BB.

I just installed new clutch master and slave cylinders, but I didn't bleed the brakes when I did the clutch cylinders. Was that a big mistake?
Can I just go back and bleed the brakes now to change the fluid in the brakes?
When you do the regular brake fluid change, do you also bleed the clutch again?

Is it possible to reach the bleeder for the clutch without removing the starter? Can this be done with the car on the ground if a pressure bleeder is used?
