Turbo-N/A Front Bumper Shock, Front End Question

I picked up a turbo front bumper (and all the related parts to a turbo bumper conversion on my S) but I neglected to look into whether the turbo bumper uses the same bumper shocks as the N/A. Does it?

Also, I got a pair of headlight covers (the body-coloured part which shows when they're closed) but I haven't compared the rest of the headlight. Will I need the black tub parts, too, or are they the same on the N/A?

The front bumper shocks are different, shorter in length. You do need the headlight covers aswell and also need the front portion of the black plastic headlight surround. Everything else is the same.

Okay. Thanks. How different are the black plastic headlight surrounds? Could mine be modified? I have tops (in this case, painted red).

I think I read this on Rennlist. Someone asked the same question, but another one said that you need fenders, and possibly something else. I always thought you just needed the same as Techno said, and the front valence to the Turbo. Another thing you could do is "shave" the front bumber pads, and compress the N/A bumper shocks. I think that lokos pretty smooth, clean, and cool.

Yeah, I actually have all the body panels (header, light lids, bumper, fenders, lights, etc) from a Turbo. I was able to fit them all in my Audi, amusingly. What I don't have are shocks for the inner aluminum bumper bar or the black parts which go around the bulbs in the pop-up headlights.

You can use your original headlight covers and trim pieces for the time being, they will just leave a gap that looks a little odd due to the different shape of the nose panel. You could run the bumper cover with the original nose panel and headlights.. however the n/a panel is slightly shorter and will subsequently not really line up right with the top edge of the bumper....but atleast the headlight covers will look right.

I do actually have the headlight covers (the red painted parts) but I don't have the turbo version of the black plastic part with the big round hole in it for each headlight. How different is it? Could I just modify mine easily?

Thanks,

C.

Isn't the fenders different as well? I am pretty sure they won't line up correctly without a little work. Let me see what I can find on the shocks and headlight covers....
