I am pretty sure that they are aluminum, I think all of the Porsche wheel are aluminum. I have only help 1 magnisium wheel ('72? Pantera wheels) and they were light as anything, I think I held them with 2 fingers.

Try setting them on fire.. if blindingly bright they are Mg .

Check the widths, if Mg they should be 16x8 and 16x9. All other alloy PD's were 16x8 and 16x7.

The only mag wheels came on the Turbo Cup cars the factory produced. They would be 16x8 and 16x9. If those rims aren't 9" wide in the rear, then they aren't magnesium.

They are very. very rare and run around $1600 a set if not more.

Plus those are early offset and the mag ones were only late offset. On the '86 cup cars they used 951 16x8 fuch's on the front and 930 16x9 on the rear.

If you clean the inside of the wheels, you will see some markings. Some of those markings will contain the metal composition of the wheels. Most wheels say "AlSi..." and those with magnesium (very rare) will say "Mg..."

If they are magnesium, I will give you $50 each... They should be pretty cheap to ship, since they don't weigh much.
