Running great now turns over sputters or runs for 5 seconds and dies hot or cold. As a note FPR ,DME relay, dme temp sensor, coil, fuel filter, wires, sparklpugs cap and rotor have under 2000 miles on them.

never presume new parts are working
sounds like a fuel thing - pull the relay, clean the contacts of it and the socket - try again - if that fails, substitute a new or known working relay |

What happens if you hold the throttle open?
If it runs with the throttle held open, it could be the swiper strip the the Air flow meter has a worn spot! -Nick

sputtering
DME is good. Wont run with throttle, gets worse, smokes and shakes. Repositioned the swing arm on the AFM at the begining of the season with excellent results.

Narrow it down. Takes four things to make an engine run...fuel, spark, timing and compression. Since it runs some, probably not the last two, so start with the first two. More than likely fuel related. After it dies, take the end cap off the fuel rail being careful not to break anything or spill fuel on a hot exhaust and see if it has pressure in there. You could also make a 'Y' jumper per Clarks Garage and see if you hear the fuel pump run. If you have fuel, then check for spark.
