Hell, my back hurts!
Woohoo!
I'm back on the road. All new coolant hoses and heater core (what a pain in the ar$e), along with low temp fan switch. Temp guage now hovers around the half way mark when warmed up. Also, new rubber fuel hoses - be gone 26 year old dodgy rubber! Looking forward to not stooping over an engine bay for a while - and glad I have a pit in my garage. And sorry for the crappy photos - still using a phone as the lcd on the real camera broke. ![]() ![]() ![]()

How did you access the fuel lines...
...to install the tubing fittings behind the brake booster? Did you remove the clamps from below and pull down the lines for easier access?

Thanks Nick & OnTheRun2, come over for a drive someday
![]() onZedge, removing the clamp immediately below the fittings (push the hard lines back towards the firewall and turn the clamp 90deg anti-clockwise) and pushing the hardlines down was necessary to get full access to the old hose fittings. It wasn't a fun job to replace the fuel lines. To give myself the room to work with the mini pipe cutter and spanners, I had to remove the inlet manifold and AOS. And as I already had the inlet off to replace the coolant fitting at the back of the head, it wasn't a lot of extra work. Cheers

Thanks for the tip on twisting the bracket 90 deg - I was preparing to remove these (read: demolish) to get accesss. I didn't buy a kit. I researched and sourced all the pieces myself. All I have is a full size tubing cutter so it looks like the more dissassembly the better.

saxman8050,
Rims are Simmons (www.simmonswheel.com.au/) OM16's with Goodyear Eagle F1 225/50ZR16 rubber. Don't know if you can get the rims over your side of the world. They're about AUS$900 each. PO left them on for me (bargain!) and gave me the old cookie cutters - about the only thing he did right. onZedge, I got a fuel hose kit from Eagleday (eagleday.com/), it came with a mini pipe cutter. Instructions included - easy to follow and worked perfectly (no leaks first attempt). Cheers,
