Adjustable front shock stock on late 944

Late model 944 at the junk yard allmost untouched has adjustable front shocks. I know this because at the top of the strut I see an adjustable tab like the Komi sports I have for my early 944. The outside of the strut looks just like my early with the replaceable insert. Are these a factory option or are they posibly koni's
Regards
J

Konis were a factory option.

474 was the option code for the shocks, M030 was the code for the sport suspension, which included adjustable Koni shocks.

The only drawback to that option if I remember was the rears had to be removed to be adjusted.

I took a picture of the option codes and matched them up and none of them were any suspention upgrades. So when I recover I we these sun burns I'll check out and see if they are Koni race or sport. Btw I found out why it's in the junk yard, a piece of the block the size of a 50 cent piece was put back with silicone ...WTH!

For the fronts all you had to do was open the hood and twist the top of the strut... I could dial until i found the setting that made my butt cheeks quit puckering when I went deep into a corner. The rears however, I had to remove, pull out the rubber deep inside the shock shell, compress, twist, and repeat for the opposite side. All the while hoping that you got them at about the same rate. Regardless though, when I replaced the shocks, I used the same ones.

Yep... ya got me there. I tried a set of non adjustable Sachs, but they were never as reassuring as the Konis were. They didn't last long. I replaced those with a brand new set of adjustable Konis within a couple of months. Anyway, just making conversation and putt'n in my 2 cents worth.
