951 offset wheel question
Ok, i am sure this topic has been brought up more than a dozen time. I have searched Rennlist and Pelican with details on the correct offsets.
My problem is, everybody seem to have a different recommendation. Ok...i'll stop rambling... I am looking at putting on my 1986 951 a set of twist 996 wheels. I believe they are 17" 7 and 9's. The wheel offset on the 996 wheels are 55mm ( i think) My phone dials offset is 23.3. So how much of a spacer do i need for the front's and rears? I have seen someone say 25 mm all around. Anyone have these wheels on there 944? Post a picture and advise of what your offset is and where you purchased the spacer sets. THANK JPC

I think most people use 1" spacers (really close to 25mm) at least that's what alot of racers use for adapting late wheels to early hubs!
As a side note, you should come up this way for the midwest get-together in August! (Check out the sticky) -Nick
