Spark problem!
Hey guys,
I am having a intermittent spark problem. When I turn the engine over I get a intermittent spark...sometimes the first revolution...sometimes the 4th....its just random. I have two DME's the first was the one that came with the car and I bought the second to see if the first dme was bad. The first dme gives me more spark than the 2nd one. I don't know if either one is good. Here is what I have done so far: 1. new speed and ref. sensors (gapped them but still no tach bounce) 2. new dme relay 3. new dist. cap, rotor, plugs 4. checked coil 5. checked ignition switch at #4 terminal on DME plug and ground (10.5 V) 6. When I turn the engine over I can hear the ignition relay clicking alot...is this normal? Any ideas on what might be causing the spark problem? |
Wiggle the plugs around for the speed and reference sensors while cranking it over.
