Door Panel Removal
Taking off the driver's door panel ( '87 951) and everything is loose except I can't figure out how the handle -pull is attached. There are holes but no screws inside, can't tell what it is, help!

There should be a phillps head screw about 1.5 inches in. I think the use a #1 Phillips not a #2.

Thanks, but there isn't a phillips screw in there, looks like a threaded end of a bolt. Wish I could get a better pic. Anyone else seen this?

Hi Steve. The most likely scenario is that a PO may have damaged the back of the panel so that the correct screws would not hold, and replaced it with something else. Here is a link that may help. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies...boy , do I feel stupid! A #8 long socket did the job; the PO had replaced the Phillips screws alright. Now to try and figure out why the power locks don't work
