Question Electrical nightmare

I have been trying to troubleshoot starting problems on my 1985.5 944 euro. I noticed when I opened the alarm module that it had a huge corrosion problem and when i stuck a piece of plastic in the contactor it would allow the engine to start with no problems. Everything was fine till I stopped at the store and when I came back out it wouldn't start no matter what i did. The corrosion on the circuit board is bad and I don't care about the alarm is there a way to wire the system to remove it? Also has a lamda computer that has some corrosion could that be killing me. Please help.

Jump pins 1 and 4 and then 7 and 8 on the large module connector to bypass alarm

Does the module need to be plugged in for the bypass to work?

I jumped pins 1 & 4 and 7 & 8 and the blasted thing still would not start. I kept trouble shooting and as soon as I unplugged the Lamda computer it started right up? What gives? The factory alarm module is messed up so jumping the pins probably helped that.

Does anyone know what the Lamda computers purpose is?

Meters the air/fuel ratio with the o2 sensor and makes adjustments to the ecu when pre programmed values aren't met.
