White face gauges for early 944
Hello everyone.
Does anybody know if somebody is selling white face gauges for early type 944s these days? I searched eBay, but nobody is selling them.

The 924S had white face guages. Check the parts section or your local Craigslist.

The 924S had white LETTERING on black faces. I believe the poster is looking for white faces. This is the only place I know that makes them, and I think you have to special order:
North Hollywood Speedometer and Clock Company. Serving your gauge needs since 1955. VDO, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Veigel, Veglia Check this thread: White Guage Faces... Where to buy?

I'll try and find out where the PO got the gauges & the glass faces in my car. Works quite well (ignore the rev counter, had to go aftermarket because of the engine swap)

Hi p-talk, you are right, I'm looking for the aftermarket white faces: white background with black lettering.
Thanks for your help.

they make look nice in the minds of some (they look cheap and ricey to me) but the big problem is that white faces reflect more light - this is very bad at night - with white face gauges you should probably turn off your dash lights altogether to reduce dangerous pupil dilation and rod attenuation which is what diminishes night vision - the less light in your face the better
