A/C Problems...not blowing cold

Let me start by saying this is my very first Porsche (1985 1/2 NA), I could not be more pleased. It was giving to me as a college graduation present and I have not stopped driving it since!!!

As for my question, I recently recharged my A/C system and it blew cold air for a couple of weeks. Then one day it suddenly stopped. Now it is blowing mild air. I checked the freon level and made sure my compressor was still good. Everything checks out. I breifly glanced/listened for leaks but still noting. Now I am in the middle of summer with no A/C and it sucks...please help....

Is the compressor clutch still engaging? My guess is the front seal on the compressor is leaking, possibly a bit more than it was previously. Tell me how dirty the body of the compressor is, say from the pulley back.

If everything checks out as you mentioned, all the freon is still in the system, then the expansion valve could be shot,

The clutch is still engaging and the compressor is newish (my uncle had the whole system replaced a couple years ago but then he had fuel system problems and parked it). It stayed there for about 10 years (but the A/C system only has a few hundered miles on it). I know things rust and rot but I really have no knowledge about A/C system components. I can try to check the seals tomorrow. Are they internal? Would they be making any noise or be wet?
