Another stupid offset question.
Is there a reason late offset can't work on early cars? it seems to me like the greater offset would widen the track and increase stability. Or is it bad for the bearings?

Late offset wheels on an early car "narrows" the track, not widen it.
Early offset wheels on a late car "widens" the track - but too much to the point of wheels rubbing the fenders. |
