Windshield washer fluid pump isnt working.
I tested the pump and it runs great. Just need cleaning. When I hook it up to the car it wont run.
I looked in the fuse box to find a fuse for it but there isnt one according to the diagram. Whats next?

It says wiper motor for 24. That fuse is good. Turns out i had the hoses reversed after taking it apart. i thought it was the other way around. It works fine.
Only thing though,... is it normal for the wiper fluid system to NOT stay primed?!?! Everytime I use it I have to wait a good second or so for it to prime. I noticed the 1 way valve filter thing on the end of the one tube in the tank but its not doing what i thought it should be doing. Should there be 2 of them?

Charles, This is an old car and stuff fails over time. You can buy new check valves or the one may just be junked up inside. You could try and soak it in white vinegar, which eats lime deposits. You can use vinegar in a baggy to put around the shower head with a rubber band for over night and it clears up the holes. A little trivia there.

Ok well,... the one I have I clean out pretty good. I'll clean it again I guess. Do you know which of the two hoses it's suppose to be on? Just to be sure. And theres only the one right? Thanks larry.
