Koni strut rebuild for early 85 n/a

I have seen this proceedure for the later 944's:

What are the differences between the above proceedure and doing my early 85?

The early cars have a screw on cap so no need to cut/drill the body. Simply unscrew the cap - remove old insert, replace with new insert.
