Thread series on end of fuel rail?

I was using an aftermarket adapter to install my fuel pressure gauge on the end of the fuel rail. It seems the one they sent me does not match the male threads on the end of the rail. So does anyone one know what the thread is on the end of the Rail before I mess up the threads in frustration? Thank you in advance.

It is a straight thread M12 x 1.5 nipple. The closest equivalent that will adapt to it is a DIN 7631 Series metric 60 degree globe-seal female fitting or DIN 3902 Series metric 24 degree globe-seal female fitting.

Clarification: I say "equivalent" because the nipple on the fuel rail is concave to accept the sealing ball. The DIN fittings I mention are cone shaped and "should" provide a liquid-tight seal. No guarantees however (required disclaimer).

Where did you get the gauge from? I ordered mine from LR and it came with the proper size fittings.

I purchased the set originally form LR but the fittings left the gauge to high to shut the hood without dinging it. The fitting I hope to use now comes from 9xAuto.com and it is designed as a one piece adapter from the rail to the gauge direct.

My gauge came with two 45 degree elbows or one 90 degree elbow. I do not remember for sure. I have my gauge face perpendicular to the ground and facing the passenger side of the car. It is not much taller than the fuel rail that way. That's the only way I could get it to fit.

My set came with the same fittings however I wanted it to face the front of the car. The Auto piece is offset and will screw directly into the fuel rail and the gauge side of the fitting makes it sit low enough to clear the hood with the gauge facing the front of the car.

Understood. I wanted the same set-up but lived with what I have.

Just take the gauge and all the fittings to a parts store or a hardware store, they should be able to help you get exactly what you need.
