84 944 Exhaust
Its time for a new exhaust. I'm looking for recommendations for a louder sound.
Thanks |

I know Bursch makes a cat back system that is a mild performance upgrade thats supposed to have a deeper, throatier sound. They also make a 4-1 equal length exhaust header with a test pipe to go in place of the old cast manifolds and y-pipe/cat. The stock cat has a straight through resonator built in that takes the edge off the sound, and many people report a raspy ricer type sound when going to a straight test pipe cat delete, especially in combination with a loud main muffler. There's always a Borla muffler welded to the stock pipe in place of the stock muffler. There are other systems available, I'm sure. Someone else probably knows them.

If you are after loud and you like raspy, try MSDS 4 in 1 headers. They will also give you a performance boost if combined with a chipset, fresh injectors. Be forewarned... they are loud.
