trying to get this thigs running and keep running.
 

Well I have had a no start, or a hit start situation with my car (1984 944) since about january. I have changed the DME relay, upraded my DME and AFS to an 86 AFM & DME, newer speed/ reference sensors, FPR and Damper, and fuel rail, changed the starter with a used one last year, jumpered the DME relay inlet to run fuel pump- it ran, tested the ignition switch- got .2 ohms- good according to Clark's G., put in used ignition coil, tried to test injectors- pretty sure they were OK, and today beeped the horn. I finally installed my S & R sensors, but didnt get a tach bounce. But I think that my starter wasnt engaging, and my tach didnt bounce like it would when you normally turn the key right before it starts up (I did drop the S & R pivot bolt in the inspection hole- may have something to do with it but doubtfull since the car didnt turn over) The starter clicked once when I first tried to start, and just "hummed" or spinng I think it was. Any thoughts about this, that tach. not bouncing )may have to re-adjust) or the starter noise? Thanks guys.

P.S. anyone in the area wanna come over next weekend and help diagnose are more than welcome if it is not running by then.
