Just another idea to brighten up that cluster
 

Hiya. Just thought I would post up my simple approach to the dim cluster problem. I removed the old reflective material with acetone and put in new bulbs (in my case red) but for the reflector I used pieces cut from cut and stick side view mirror repair (about $8 at walmart).

Because the relector is an actual mirror, you're not losing any light to the low relection property of other fixes. Because I was only able to bend the mirror so much (I probably could have got a perfect fit with a heat gun, shaping the mirror) I did cover the whole thing with foil just to catch whatever light may have escaped out the sides. I used high temp hot glue to attach one side of the mirror then bent it and glued the other. I used hot glue to do a quick bulb socket repair about 4 months back and it still holds perfectly so I figure it should do fine until I get around to putting a couple drops of epoxy in. With the hot glue the whole process is reversible as it is not too difficult to remove later.

Seems to work pretty well. I need better red bulbs but they work just fine for now. This is not the end all of cluster fixes, just an idea I tried for those looking for a fix.
