DME Chip for lightweight clutch/plate
I have a 1988 924S that the drive train is nor perfect on EXCEPT, for one little problem. I had a kevlar Dis and matching pressure plate installed and it now intermittently "hiccups". The drop in mass seems to be causing and issue with the cars"brain" not being able to keep up. Where would I get a chip made or ready made to compensate for this issue.

Try increasing the Set screw or Throttle cable tensioner to give and idle closer to 1100-1300. Common problem that I've never seen a good buyable solution for stock.

Hey Greg,
Obviously I make chips, but I wouldn't be so quick to blame the brain for the hiccup. I would suggest you first insure the proper height of the flywheel sensors and the electrical connections thereof. Common issue after any sort of clutch job. Regards, Russell |
