Anyone tried Pelican's "Super Mount" motor mount

Does anyone have opinions of these mounts? These aren't the solid type mounts. They have the rubber insert in them. I like the design, but I wonder if they transmit any more vibration than a stock mount.

But they're soooo pretty.....

Oh well, I guess it's OEM, then.

What did you guys expect when putting solid or anything non-oem quality motor mounts in your car? That's the entire point to limit movement of the motor and stiffen it all up. Of course you're going to get more vibration. Vibration can be even more noticeable depending on the clutch/flywheel setup you have.

Well, they're not solid mounts, and they're not really marketed as a performance upgrade (ie, stiffer). They're supposed to offer "superior operational longevity when compared to stock mounts". But if they're doing that at the expense of vibration control, then that's not what I'm looking for.

Flash, how many components have you installed and removed for this reason?

lol - i've installed and removed a number of things for one reason or another - it has been an adventure for sure

these got removed because they transmitted too much vibration

the threaded rod is also too weak - it bent in just a few minutes of running - i know somebody else who broke one their first time out at the track - both were on 968s though, which are heavier engines with a lot more torque than a 944

240$ for that early tranny set like that is robbery. Those are damn expensive too. Its a machined block of billit with a couple holes drilled in and a rubber bushing.
