Valve spring specifications

I have been searching and looking for information to be able to check out my valve springs, and have found nothing so far - Porsche WSM or Clarke's or every other place.

Turbo Springs - 86

To be able to check them out I seem to need the installed height and the tension at that spot - or a specific spring tension/weight at a certain height of the spring -

Any information will surely appreciated

Thanks, Ed.

Does this help?

Yes that is correct - but what is the measured valve spring tension at that spot (in nM.) ??? - Need to know if a spring is weak or worn out so as to know if it's good or toss it out.

I've never seen any pressure specs anywhere in the service manual. I guess the only option there is to get a new one and measure it.

Oh, wait. Here's something.

Yeah that made my whole day... Wonder why it's not in the Work shop manual or even other places - Oh well it was at LR to be found. Thus saving a much longer search .

Thanks HondaDustR

OK - I finally found the information for the 951 Valve Springs.

Intake: At installed height 40mm+.5mm and 130#Seat Pressure.

Exhaust: At installed height 41mm+.5mm and 130#Seat Pressure.

Another spot found that both Intake and Exhaust were 41mm +.5 or -.5 at 130# Seat Pressure...

Lindsey makes a Racing Valve Spring at 140#seat Press. etc.

Anyone know what the seat pressure is for the S and S2 valve springs?
