Thanks. There's a couple of us around here but most still have some sort of porsche oem wheel. There are not too many choices for our bolt pattern so I can understand why people stick with what they have. The wheels and tires were only $700 shipped, mounted, balanced and brand new. You can find deals if you keep your ojos open. Best of luck.

I think the side molding looks better than a bunch of quarter sized dings down the car side. People could care less about opening their doors into your car. Heck if it would not look crazy I'd put a roll cage around my car just to protect the paint job. Now wouldn't that look great?

Cheers,
Larry

That's exactly why I invested in the $50 paintjob. When a lady hit my car about a month ago and caused about $1200 in damage, I repaired the area with a $3 can of spray paint, rubbing compound and 30 min of time. The insurance money is going into my mutual funds. I'm a big rat rod fan so I love an agressive flat black paintjob (I went with a semigloss this time). Now, If I spent a silly amount having someone else do a terrible job painting the car then I might put the door guards back on but as it stands I think I will be fine. Door guards or not, you're going to get dings. Most doors do not line up well with the moldings anyway so it's unavoidable.
