cruise controll ticking!

i have an 84 944, when i got the car the CC didnt work so i bought another used Servo and was told it worked. and this one doesnt work iether

when i engage it all i hear is some ticking from the engine bay....thats all!

any idea's?

mabey it would be under the cruise controll motor not working......although its enabling....cause i hear the ticking.......

I get the same thing when i turn the key to the "on" position. It's probably why is not startng.... IDK stupid little cars...........

I just unplugged mine till i get the sob running again. But to be honest that is the last thing on my list of things to fixed.

+1, I unplugged mine and it's really low on my list. I.e. My car has other problems .

If your old unit did not click, and this one does, maybe the unit is bad?

both old and new clicked........

yea for the moment i unplugged it, but it would be nice for those 2-3 hour car drives

It could be the cruise control brain. Mine surged and went all funny. Replaced the brain and its good to go. May want to try getting a used cruise control brain. I think they are cheap.

lol this is a not bus....i am not keanu reeves...... so no boom this time....

mabey ill look into the computer side....i think i know someone who has one for 20$
