lol....where i live in central illinois, we get 1 inch of snow and people start driving abolutely horrible with no reguard for others.

its the same when it rains!

people find it unneeded to use turn signals, look before changing lanes, and like to go so slow that its dangerous.

people piss me off to say the least!

if i remeber correct its the utmost challenging.... its just takes time, and of course the money for the LSD.....

if you are going Trans work already it might be cost efficient to put one in, or vice versa and redo your syncros and such.

i wonder if there are any LSD from other cars that fit our and would work at a cheaper price?

That picture reminds me of an old car ad. Have you ever wondered what the snow plow driver drives? They showed a picture of a garage with snow half way up the garage door. Up comes the door and out drives a VolksWagen up and over the snow. I drove a VW Bug for over 3 years in Germany and did not miss a days work. The only thing wrong with it was that when I wanted to pass someone, I had to have more guts than the VW did.

Cheers,
Larry

Why would you do that to a 968? Seriously. He couldnt have bought a used cheap 4x4 to make a few extra bucks shoveling driveways. Stuff like that doesnt amuse me in the least.

LOL. Thats what I initially thought! But then I started reading what he wrote and was like why! I didnt finishing reading though. Did it say it was a joke at the end? oh well. If it was true,... i would have to admit it better looking than the dude with the 944 on ebay he destroyed. Atleast this 968 has function. LOL. Phew.

Had a nice storm yesterday. I'm sure with winter tires the 944/968 would make an ok winter car...

It's the S4 that uses the same diff as the 944.

My old 924S used to be a ton of fun here in the snow. I used to run studded snows on it and run it year round. With the weight distribution of these chassis it was very stable and predictible in the worst of condition.

If you are stuck, with one wheel spinning, slowly pull the e-brake until both wheels turn. The e-brake will provide resistance to the spinning wheel - thus sending power to the opposite wheel.

Believe me, an LSD doesn't help that much - I have one in my 951... Of course I do run 275 series tires....

Here's another picture of that speed yellow coupe (MO30, btw) along with my car on a sunny Father's Day cruise a few years ago. I heard it was just sold again, this time from Arkansas.
