Window relay clicking
 

We have a problem with a relay clicking sound. It's random, intermittent & usually
rapid clicks. The car doesn't have to be running but ignition key switched on.
Have traced it to a red relay sited behind the centre console on the passenger side (UK). The part no. (944.615.112.01) would appear to indicate Electric window relay. Windows work fine.
So does anybody know if this would be a relay fault or wiring fault causing the clicking? Replacements come in at GBP30 so it would be a shame to waste the money if the relay's not at fault.
