oil pickup tube installation
Assembling an '88 NA 8V. I have 3 seals in my lower gasket/seal kit that look like they could fit the oil pickup tube. Black, Red/Orange, and Clear. The black one seems to be the correct diameter, so I used it. It seems like it is too tall because it squished out and there is a gap between the block and the flat area on the pickup tube:

Black one in the kits is for the early oil cooler housings, not the pickup tube.

The seal from pelican is black. Maybe it's just a different color in the gasket kit.
