Hey,
I own a 1988 924s. I am looking for some affordable body kits (such as a 944 turbo conversion, or carrera gtr conversion, or anything...!) I am aware of gt-racing but their prices are soo tremendous. Can anyone tell me of another alternative... Thanks.

here's an alternative....
to save some cash, get the stock 944 front fenders from a recycler, and the carrera GT rear fender flares. as for the hood, you should really get the fibreglass one as the duct is a bit specific and cutting the stock one would look bad (or just get a 924 turbo hood). i've seen other kits for the 924/944 and they don't look good at all. they add unnecessary weight and they don't add downforce, just drag. good luck! obin

One of the reasons the 924S is faster than the regular 944 is because it does not have the extra flaring.
Just my opinion, of course... but I'd advise against adding fender flares to a 924S for that reason. I'd spend the money on suspension upgrades, wheels and tires. The stock rims can easily take 215s. -MAS |
