Stock Intercooler vs Aftermarket

I have been looking into getting a Lindsey Racing Stage 1 or 2 Intercooler as well as a Stage V Header Panel for my weekend racer.

Are there good horsepower benefits with these modifications?

I have a Lindsey Boost Enhancer, Super 61 Turbocharger, 2 Lindsey Wastegate Shims, Full 3" Custom Exhaust, 55# Injectors and Im looking for a MAF with hard pipes.

PS: Im always looking to buy more perfromance parts if you have any!

Thanks!

Personally i think you will be fine with the stage 1.

Take a look at this thread regarding the stage 1 vs stage 2 question. Just my opinion, so take it for what its worth.

What benefit from the Lindsey Racing intercooler upgrade.

I have a similar sized turbo (60-1 HiFi) and if i had to choose i would just get the stage 1. I only went with a front mount because there was a group buy on them.

I had my stock 951 FMIC modified by Speedforce Racing for an exceptionally reasonable cost compared to the LR price...

I should add that one of the 924board guys (bass gt) has added a low pressure duct on his hood in conjunction with a stock 951 intercooler with modded endtank, and is achieving near 80% efficiency of the intercooler. So you might consider the Speedforce modified FMIC (equivalent to the LR Stage I for less money) and add a 968 low pressure duct (available from IFC) to achieve a very efficient setup without introducing the concerns raised by Techno Duck re: the Stage II setup.
