got pics of early Fuse Pannel?

im looking for a couple pics of the 944 early Fuse Box...im looking for a couple from a couple angles if possible..

this is for a summer project where i will pull out the old, clean up the wires, clean the grounds, and replace the old Fuses with NEW Style universal Fuse Pannel to get rid of those nasty old fuses!!

the problem is there are a couple different styles of Newer universal Fuse boxes. some have the power in and a ground out. some have each fuse powered...im trying to figure out what would work....

if all goes well i will take pictures of the install incase someone else would like to do this!

That is a bold endeavor and I like it. The old fuses are crap and the 2 fuse/relay boxes on early cars are not so good either. I would be interested to see what you come up with. Good luck with this project and keep us posted.

once you get it all sorted out, its really not that big of an issue......

the power in goes into the power in...and since the AUX and Main boards are already seperatated it makes it easy to use 2 boards again. the in and out of either side of the fuses are simply spliced and the new connectors are crimped and soldered on.

its almost a plug and play, whats going to worry me a little is that ATC Fuses dont go by the same increments as these old fuses....so i will either have the use a smaller rated fuse and see if it pops, or go up 1 step (ex. 8amp to 10amp) and hope nothing burns itself....ALTHOUGH with the age of the car, the old connectors and grounds, a little higher fuse rating might not effect anything.

my issue is that my wiring is a MESS, someone has spliced into it many times.....this scares me......i hate it when people dont do **** right and just splice here and there and leave it a mess.....i cant even use my dead petal cause of all the wiring.

wire in there im thinking about rewiring my Stereo HEadUnit Also. i plan on getting rid of the antenna in front that doesnt seem to work anymore and putting in a 968 style antenna on the roof behind the sunroof. this would get rid of a few wires as the power antenna has like 4 or something like that.

EDIT: was looking and Painless wiring has a Fuse Block that has some spots for Relays and a few relays built in. not sure if ill go this route or Universal and make it work.....
