86 951 Control Arms

Does anyone know if the 86 control arms are unique or can I use CA's from an 87+?

The 86 and 87+ numbers are the same, except that the late parts start with 944... and the 86 parts start with 951.

Is it that the 86 951 and NA parts were different, then in 87 they switched to both 951 and NA using the same part?

I ask because it looks like I need to replace the driver's side control arm and an just wondering what options I have. My current CA has a "pocket" you can feel with your finger - where it's slightly out of round - and I don't think the rebuild I just did is gonna last.

Meaning that they are unique and won't interchange with other years? Cool. Thanks.

The steel arms are cheap - and the ball joints cost like $26 or something ridiculous.

But I thought the 85/1 and 85/2 geometry was different - and then changed again in 87?

The arms changed from steel to aluminum in 85.5 IIRC. From 87 on, the offset was changed.
