cracked dash
Is there anything one can do about a cracked dashboard on a 968, without having to replace it?

Or 'quick repair cover' from ebay
like most other people. take it off and get it fixed because in the end you wish you would have fixed it the first time. its only 4 screws holding the dashboard on and it isnt the hardest thing taking it off. putting it on is just as easy

I don't know the 968, but on the late 944 the dash is a 2 hour removal, and four hour reinstall (being very careful, and cleaning up under there). Having it releathered out of chassis was only a few hundred dollars. The plastic cover WILL warp, and is a waste of time and money.

I just went slowly and carefully, and everything came out great on the first try. I even got to tie wrap some of the wires while they were exposed.
