86 944n/a parking brake not working
Hey guys, so yesterday I took apart the rear brakes on my 944 n/a and cleaned everything, as well as getting the rotors turned (had a nasty squeal that is now gone thanks to a through cleaning!) After cleaning, i put it all back together, took it for a drive to test the brakes, and then pulled into my driveway, put the parking brake up, and started to get out until i noticed the car was rolling.
So my question is how do I fix the parking brake so that it will actually....park? When I had the rotors turned, they did both the inside and outside, so I can understand why when engaged, the parking brake won't make contact...I just need to know how to fix that. Do I have to do the Parking brake adjustment located at clarks garage, where I have to remove the drivers seat? Thanks guys! |

If they turned the p brake drum, you prob just need to adj the shoes. This is discussed on the Clarks pg
You don't have to remove the seat to adjust the lever, but it is a little tight area to work in!
