Hello all,
I just purchased a 1983 944 automatic transmission. The auto shifter assembly is in pretty bad shape, but I found a refurbished 1985 automatic shifter assembly to replace. However, I am unsure if it will fit correctly. Does anyone know if this will work on an 83...they look pretty similar in design. |

The PET lists an early 944 426 025 02 --'83-'85
Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW ...and a late 944 426 025 01--- '85 on Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW I do not know the answer. It appears the '85 during production used both. John

hello all, thanks for answering
I believe it is a later 85 model shifter because his ad reads that it will fit between years 85-88. However, he is uncertain if it would bolt onto an 83. |
