Aftermarket and other mfg wheels thread

I see plenty of threads about which factory wheels fit what years, etc. but not much on alternatives to stock. Doesn't seem like a very long list from what I've found.

So I'm starting a thread for people to post what wheels they've found will fit our cars. It would be nice to have a single reference instead of searching the gazillion wheel threads.

Any other manufacturers fit? like Audi, VW, BMW?

What aftermarket wheels fit and price?

If anyone knows any, please post with what offset and/or year car they fit.

Pics would be nice too.

Porsche uses a unique bolt pattern- 5x130mm.

Plenty of cars use 5x100, but nobody but Porsche uses a 130mm bolt circle.

I'm sure one exception is probably the Porsche Cayenne/VW Touareg since they were engineered together. Not sure what their bolt pattern is, but their 19" and 20" wheels don't interest us 944 guys anyway.

I've got a couple sets of Fikse wheels, but they were manufactured, of course, to fit Porsches. Even though I found them used, they were still pretty expensive.

The good thing is 944 wheels arre interchangeable with 911 wheels. I've also got a set of Boxster wheels I use for rolling the race car on and off the trailer, but some Boxster wheels have a center bore that is just a bit too tight for 944 front hubs. The aftermarket wheels like Fikse and BBS use a center bore that will accomodate 944 hubs just fine.

My BSA wheels had a tight fit on the front so I had to remove the grease caps and grind a little from the inside of the wheel center to get them to fit correctly. No issues for the last 6 months of driving and not a spec of dirt in the open grease caps with the seals to keep it out. This is a common issue with a lot of aftermarket wheels so you have to be a little creative.

Tirerack.com has a good tool that shows rims as they would look on car. I have purchased several sets from them for my Porsche's and like you have found selection limited. Moda makes rims in the 5x130 pattern but are special order. They are on my 87-928s4

These are made by OZRacing for Strosek Customs in 5x130. They are on my 911sc Targa due to offset problems on my 944.

These are made by Antera and fit both 944 with spacers and 928.

TSW Montage they come in black chrome or a satin finish from what i remember. They are the Late offset i did find a pair once on Ebay that had the early offset and also shared an additional bolt pattern for a Ford Probe. Go figure.
