What kind of coolant should I use???
I have had this 944S a couple of weeks now and still will drive it another week or so (then put it away). I'm not sure if it's winterized in the coolant department. It has coolant in it, but I don't know if it is ok in this low Nova Scotia temperature. What kind of coolant should I put in the car over the next few weeks???

Use coolant that is rated safe for aluminum engines AND is phosphate free.
Any of the coolants listed as "Dex-Cool" approved work just fine. WHen changing your coolant, make sure you bleed it completely AFJuvat |
So, I can't just add new coolant into the existing coolant? The stuff that is in it now is like a clear color. I know most "winter" coolant is blue. I think I'll get the coolant changed when I get my thermofan switch replaced. Speaking of that, does anyone know where the fan relay is located on a 88' 944S? I've been told that my fan problem is either related with the thermofan switch or the relay. I wanna try the relay thing first, then if that isn't it, I'll try the switch.

Prestone's Phosphate free coolant is orange, as is most that I've seen.

I like Saturn's green coolant. Phosphate free, and Saturns engines are ALL aluminum.

Try the relay in the lower right corner of the fuse box. Should be part 944.615.104.03. Good luck.
