Side mirror disconnect
trying to find out how to disconnect the side mirrors from the door harness once I have unbolted them from the doors.
I am trying to save the harnees, I do not want to cut them if possible. |
You can get a little tool at your FLAPS... Mine is made by lisle.
Detail Page for 56500 Terminal Tool - Lisle Corporation there should be a wiring diagram on clarks garage.... |
You basically have to pop the wires out of the female plug inside the mirror housing. If you have the right pin removal tool (do a search for the AMP part number and places you can order it), it takes under a minute to pop them all out -- no problem.

ya I figured it all out now. I just used some small screw drivers, but Its crazy you have to tear the mirror apart before you can disconnect it.
