Thumbs up 944 wheel pictures

I currently have the black cookie cutters, I want to stip the paint off to silver or change to different wheels totally.

I am asking you all to show off your wheels and post as many pictures of 944 wheels as possible please !

Thanks, I love this Bulletin Board Forum !

Wheel looks nice Bob. If I were you I would repaint them, get the chrome valve stems and buy the porsche valve covers. That'd look nice. Also, I forgot to tell you, the whole credit union thing wouldn't work out. They said they wouldn't be able to finance a 944 for more than like $3,000. The lady I talked to was stupid though. There is a fairwinds right across the street from me (I guess that would make it either the longwood or apopka branch) and that is where I encountered the stupid lady. There is another fairwinds on 434 which I pass by everyday when I go to school, so I might stop in there and see if the story changes at all.

Nothing special, PO upgraded when the phone dials were shot. I believe they are from a 968:

They do give the car a more updated look, IMO.

Why not buff the Fuchs out as an all aluminum, unpainted finish? I'll probably go with it since my co-worker commented that "you must be missing hub caps".

Price of Ronals

Andre,

Thanks, but I don't know how much they were. They were on the car when I bought it and I don't think the P.O. bought them either. I bought the car from a magazine (GRM) and think that they were comped to them. Out of curiousity I looked for them on the net, but couldn't find their price listed anywhere. Then I lost interest.

The silver cookie cutters look great ! I am going to strip the black paint off mine now!
The only thing though is that centre part of the wheel is not as polished as the rim ?

Is there any way of bringing out the shine ?

Gotti rims

Has anyone ever heard of this type of rim? Gotti I've got three from my dads 83 944 that he sold like 7 years ago( long story) and have been looking for a fourth as long as I've owned my 84.m They look really great silver/magnesium rims with gold accent on the inside( will post pictures later can't find the disk now). I actually have all four but one is cracked. They are three piece with 15 bolts holding the pieces together. I have seen similar rims but they had different patterns.

Hey stray! Did you strip those rims down and then clear them or are they just two different wheels? If you did strip them, what did you use? What works best?

Look at my homepage and you will see the complete process. It is also published in Pelican's Tech articles! My wheels are now the same color as the car...well, two of them are.

...took a while to decide on wheels.... I did not want to spend a bundle, but was tired of the phonedials....

so I got these..... cheap.... and they matched the new paint job... so ...I am happy.

they are 17" ROH.... 7.5 x17 front and 8.5 x17 rear... with Toyo Proxes
