This is your best option:

www.frwilk.com

You will need the early 944 adaptor board, and one of his chips. It's a fairly easy install if you can solder.

Good luck!

no personal experience here, but i believe they change the timing and fuel maps for more advanced spark and more fuel. No other mods required but you have to run 91 octane for a while.

The FRWilks chips make a HUGE difference in the behavior of the NA 944. Trust me, I had one for years, and when I upgraded to a 951, MikeCT was more than happy to buy my Wilks PowerProm from me.

Timing is advanced, fuel/air ratios are remapped in order to maximize performance instead of economy/emissions. Throttle response gets better, accelleration gets MUCH better at ALL RPM, and the car even SOUNDS meaner. It is probably the best investment you can make to a NA 944.

he has been telling me for awhile that he was planning on getting back into the game - i'm not surprised that his site is back up.

As a matter of fact, I think I promised him a write-up for the site that I never delivered. I'm gonna have to get on that...

Mr Hamton, did you sell that afm? if you didnt I have the ecu. Makes life easier, and sell your ecu. Ive got a line on some nice boxster twists with new rubber and spacers to fit a early offset. Little pricey though, as a package with a car I can get them for around $600, I dont want them but it makes the package cheaper. Ive got the phone dials too if you want them still
