Exhaust question

Hello,

I replaced the muffler section on my 944 tonight and have a question regarding the connection to the cat pipe. Is there supposed to be a gap between the two pipes or is it flush? I have about a quarter inch gap so I'm not sure if I did it right or perhaps the sealing ring is in wrong as I can't tighten the bolts any further. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

there is a gasket in between and the tubes should be flush. The flanges might not be.

=That sealing ring or doughnut is a PITA to line line up ,sometimes if you order a new one it won't be excatly the same size as the old one I wouldn't worries to much about a " gap if it's not leaking .Cause when I replace mine that about the amount of gap I had didn't bother trying to close it tigth cause it's almost impossible .

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like its ok so I will leave it alone. I just could not remember if it was flush or not.
