castor blocks...

I've procrastinated...and didn't do my castor block upgrade last summer... I was too keen on getting on the road.

BUT...I've lost my instructions on easiest way to replace them.

Do I need to get the wheel off the ground, loosen and remove/replace?

Or simply unbolt as she sits?

TIA.

do it with the suspension in the air - otherwise the force of the weight will likely cause injury

then, when you're done, you're off to the alignment shop, where they probably could have done it for you without the fuss

that's what I thought...my brother can do an alignment for me at his shop.

thanks!

You should have your brother do it on the rack then, should take him 20 minutes. He probably knows to install them with the a-arm angles at ride height so you're not preloading the rubber and wearing it out.
Also obey the torque spec on the M10s I believe that hold them on. It's between 20 and 35 lbs (someone check me on this) and lot's of people like gunning them to holy shiite. Then the female threads in the tub strip and you get to weld in replacements or if you're innovative use expensive timeserts. A seriously unfun activity either way ask me how I know.

Yes...35 pounds I believe.

I'll likely get at them Saturday if its on the + side temp wise.

34ft/lbs - do NOT over tighten - as said above, bad things happen - in fact, i would clean the threads first
