968/928 mirrors

Looking for info.

Are the 968 and 928 exterior door mirrors the same part for the 92' thru 95' years?
The 968 mirrors didn't show up in the parts listing so I was not able to compare the part numbers.

What would I expect to pay for a pair of mirrors? These do have scratches on the paint and would need to be repainted.

The 944 mirrors seem really heavy, are the 968 mirrors lighter? I am thinking the 944 ones are an aluminum housing and hoping the 968 mirrors are plastic.

Any mor information for me?

The body of the 968 mirror is the same as the 911 mirror of that era. Not sure about the 928. The difference will be the "foot" that mounts to the door. That will be different.
The outer housing is plastic, but I can't recall off the top of my head which parts are. Not sure about the overall weight.
Price wise? Needing paint, and you know will have to change the connectors on your door right? Extra cost for parts there. I would say a fair price for a used set should be in the 250-300 range.
Before people start saying they cost XXX.xx on ebay, I will say I bought a new kit to install 968 mirrors on my 944 for about 300 bucks. That included everything, even the new plugs. And I got it from the dealer! sunset porsche is the place to call. Get a price from them, and then use that to figure out how much you want to pay for a used set you have to paint anyway.

I would buy 968 mirrors and/or door handles from them. The other thing you could do is ask your local dealer to match the Sunset price.
