dash lights stay on all the time. 1977 911 S
A while back, the glove compartment light wires fused together and shorted out. Only problem was, no fuses were burned out. I fixed that rather smelly mess, but ever since the dash and instrument panel lights stay on. At first I thought it might be the light switch so I pulled it out and disconnected all the wires. This did not solve the problem. I have looked at all the other wiring and have not found any evidence of a short or burned insulation. I have removed both relays in the fuse box area and also the square one on the fire wall from inside the luggage compartment. This also had no effect. Can anyone tell me if there are other relays? Is there someplace I have overlooked? Has anyone else ever experienced an issue like this? It is a pain because the lights staying on will run the battery down overnight.
Thanks. Roger
