Best way to remove elec sunroof that wont open
 

Ok, I got an 85/NA that has power sunroof that wont open. Changed switch and relay still nothing. Can anyone tell me where to look next? How can I check to see if the motor is still good and how can I remove this to replace all the latches on it?

clarks garage has a good procedure for this. The plastic gears usually shear before anything else gets damaged. They are cheap and easy to replace. So is the motor which is behind the carpet on the left side of the rear trunk.

You can manually open the sunroof - there should be a little wrench Porsche provided to do that mounted to your sunroof motor.
