Anyone know of a website that you can get the yellow nuts and bolts from ?

are they yellow zinc? gold anodized ?

anywhere that is cheaper than ordering the bolts from Porsche

We have a vendor that provides all our fasteners at work that I have used for hard to find sizes. They can pretty much source anything you need and UPS to your house from what I hear, so I assume they are not industrial accounts only. PM me if you are interested and I will give you their contact info.

Fastenal is good too...online and seem to have a decent amount of brick and mortar locations...but my experience at the local store is they are limited if you aren't buying a minimum order of a box.

metric fasteners

Try a generic metric hardware house... There has GOT to be a few of them in a major city like Phoenix. The hardware involved is all standard.

It's not a good idea to use stainless hardware on an alu engine, from what I've heard.

Depending on what hardware you're looking to replace, it's also important to make sure you know what grade is required, as you will want to specify this when ordering. You don't want to be using el cheapo grade 8 bolts for exhaust and turbo studs, for example.

Wow those prices are nuts! No pun intended. I checked my prices at work and they range from 65 cents up to $1.25 per fastener. Just a tad below Monel.
