Two different clutch plates - makes it very fast.
Black 10 speaker door panels would look better in a black interior. If the cheapo seat covers are fixed with duct tape I wonder what the real seats look like. He is going to ship me the Sara-toga Top so it doesn't have to be on an ugly car. Of course one needs four exhaust pipes, it is a four cylinder car, right ?? He also has a new copy of the J.C. Whitney catalog. His reserve and his nerve have not been met yet.

I dont even know where to start, there are some really good things but then someone went loco.
The dual exhausts, The trailer hitch/liscense plate thing, the crappy lights in the front bumper cover. The bumpers front and back are decent but totally ruined because of all the other stupid stuff. The interior as well has lots of good, 968 rear cubbies, saratoga top, porsche speaker pods in the doors BUT then; the steering wheel, shift knob, seat covers, cell phone holder, remote, gauges. The car COULD be good, replace the muffler, remove the light panel and put the plate back where it belongs, put the proper lights in the front bumper, replace the seats with stock tan ones, replace the steering wheel and shift knob, gauges. The suspension looks decent too but then the huge wheels and tires add an absolute ton of unsprung weight. This car is Dr jekyll and Mr hyde, Stock is good - engineers and designers were paid lots of money to design a car. Just because you have a JCwhitney catalog and liked to draw cars when you were supposed to be studying in class DOES NOT make you a car designer. |

There are several goodies there...just assembled in combo with a bunch of junk.
Best thing for that car is for the owner to sell it to someone for cheap who would scrap the dual exhaust, seat covers and other cheap crap and return the car to it's glory !

I would totally buy this car if the guy wasnt bonkers with the price... it's got a lot going for it. I'm sure all that rice can be taken away fairly easily.

Well $4,000.00 is close - Consider that it may very well take a couple of thousand dollars to restore it to factory specs. - now you have 6K in it - 87 944 NA with 75,000 is probably a 6K car - that is if it is truly a 75K mile car and the worn out seats and other things prove the mileage wrong.
I think someone has been smoking to much pipe if they think they will have someone buy-it-now for the 16K listed.

Sure, there are a couple things I would change but I hardly find this car worthy of the title "Lmfao hahahahaha." It is still nicer than most 944s out there. Only purists will find such dramatic offence to it and c'mon now, purists are a dying breed; time to get with the program.

I don't understand why people on this board are so quick to dicount the value of a 944. We should all be trying to do anything we can to promote increased market value for these cars. Overall their value suffers due to the fact that many of the onese being sold are in need of serious work. Very well maintained cars should not be discounted so quickly.
I'm not saying this thing is worth $16k, but (assuming the stated info is correct and who knows if that is truly the case) I don't think the other values cited above are realistic either (deductions for offensive styling not withstanding). Just my $0.02. Feel free to ignore this if you disagree. |

It's hard to determine the value of a car like this.. because it does have a lot of OKAY (but somewhat questionable) modifications, it has a lot of what some could consider "junk" bolted to it. and at the same time, it could also have some problems from improper tuning and the fact that the owner cant spell, calls it an RSR and says its "The Best 944 available for sale on Ebay or anywhere else" is a clear indication that he's ignorant.
I think if he stripped all the CRAP off of it and made it look stock again, he might have had a bid by now. But yes, I agree that this car isnt exactly worthy of its "lmfao hahahahaha" title.. YouTube - Auto Trader - Episode 13 although it DOES remind me of ^^this episode of Auto Trader about 4:47 in where Edd China talks someone through stripping all the junk off his car so he can finally sell it. |

The exhaust was enough to justify the title of this post.

If your day is measured in how much attention you can gain from online users, then yes, I suppose it was an appropriate title. Of all the forums I visit on and off, 944 owners tend to be the most judgmental; I just don't understand it.

I'll have to take your word for it as I know nothing of miatas or the people that drive them. It's just embarrassing that many 944 owners are so pretentious.
