Installing rear sway bar etc. on 83' N/A. What do I need?
 

I'm thinking about doing some suspension work during the winter. Right now my car has koni yellow shocks, standard 23.5 mm torsion bars, standard front sway bar and very low hard front springs of unknown brand. The car also has a strut brace and the rear is of course lowered to match the low front. Car has 16" fuchs with 205 and 225 tires front and rear.
The car has had this setup since I bought it 1.5 years ago.

However, I have found out that I would like to raise the car a little to improve usefulness. The front will be no problem I guess, just get some taller spring and it will be fixed. The rear is a little worse since I have to adjust the torsion bars to raise the rear.

Since I need to take the rear suspension apart do this I wonder if I should take the opportunity to install larger torsion bars to improve handling? What size should I go for? 26mm?

I'm also thinking about putting on a rear sway bar. Can I use the sway bar and all needed hardware from a 944 turbo or do I need extra hardware to put the sway bar on my car?

The car is not intended to be a track car, neither a daily driver but something in between.

One more question. Is the front springs different on a pre 85.5 and 85.5+ car? I talked to a good mechanic today and he said he could not sell me a pair of new front springs since I had a '83 and he only had springs for 85.5+ cars... But here at pelicans site they say that the front springs they sell will fit all 944. Is the front suspension different on US cars and Euro cars?

Okay, this Excellence magazine, is it a US mag only? I have never seen or heard of it here in Sweden... Do they have a web site with info on how to order the mag? Or does somebody put their articles on web or something so you can read them without buying the mag?
