Dash Pads

Has anyone used and or installed a dash pad? My dash is cracked in a few spots. Nothing I can't live with but, I have been looking at and over lay dash pad.

Something like this. What do you guys think? Worth it? Or waste of cash?

If this is a hard vinyl cover, there have been issues on warping in hot climates.

Here is a link on small dash cracks...

When I bought mine it had a dash pad over the cracked dash. It was warped and distorted. I ended up pulling my dash and having it recovered in leather. It was not very expensive and not as much work as it sounds.

My dash fix

Hmmm, I did read that they can warp in hot weather. I live in Canada and it does not get much hotter than 95 here. The interior temp would get much higher. I'm more inclined to go with covering it in leather. Sexier.

Thanks guys.

After posting this I see Pelican has some. Do'h! I think I'll look into it some more. Vinyl is out.
